Thoughtful Gift Giving: Cookies In a Jar

Simply, save one of our Wacky Apple applesauce jars after you have enjoyed every last bit of applesauce,  stuff it with your favorite cookie recipe ingredients (our chocolate chip cookie recipe is posted in this blog) and tie it up with a homemade gift tag.

Wacky Apple Applesauce Cookies:

Ingredients:

In a small bowl combine the dry ingredients. These are also the ingredients you put in your cookie jar. Also, add in the chocolate chips on top. 

– 1 1/2 cups organic all purpose flour
– 1/2 tsp baking soda
– 1/4 tsp salt
– 1/4 cup granulated sugar
– 1/2 cup packed brown sugar

In a large mixing bowl combine:
– 1/4 cup organic vegetable oil
– 1/4 cup cinnamon Wacky Apple Applesauce
– 1 large organic egg

– 1 tsp vanilla
– 1 3/4 cup chocolate chips

Slowly add the mixed dry ingredients to the mixed wet ingredients a large mixing bowl. Fold in the chocolate chips. Be careful to not over mix. If the batter is too sticky sprinkle in a little extra flour. Spoon onto a cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes.
